Accessibility statement
In short. We want everyone to be able to use MovItaly, including people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities. We build to WCAG 2.1 level AA. We have not had an independent audit yet, so we say "partly conformant" and list what we know is not right. If something blocks you, write to us and a person will answer.
Our commitment
MovItaly is run by Lodato Solutions LLC. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA in the web app and the website, and to apply the same rules to the mobile apps where they fit. This follows the European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882, in force in Italy through Legislative Decree 82/2022 for consumer e-commerce services since 28 June 2025. We design with screen readers, keyboard-only use, large text, dark mode and right-to-left languages in mind, and we give buttons, links and images names that assistive technology can read.
What works today
- The web app and the website can be used with a keyboard, and the focus is visible.
- Text follows the font size set in your device, and dark mode follows your system setting.
- The interface is available in many languages, and right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Urdu mirror the layout.
- The cookie choice and the legal pages can be used with a keyboard and a screen reader. In the cookie banner, Accept and Reject look the same, and the Escape key or the close button rejects.
- Most buttons and icons have a name for screen readers. Colours of the main text and buttons pass the AA contrast ratio.
Current status
The service is partly conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. This comes from our own checks, including automated tests, a review of labels and colour contrast, and a screen-reader script. It does not come from an independent audit. An outside audit is planned. When it is done, we will publish the result and the date on this page.
Known gaps
We know about these limits and are working on them:
- Some images in guides and news items have short or missing text alternatives.
- A few screen elements, such as a radio list, a photo picker and some pop-up windows, are not yet fully labelled for screen readers.
- Some interactive widgets, such as date pickers and charts, do not yet work fully with a keyboard or a screen reader.
- Colour contrast is below the AA ratio in a few secondary labels and disabled states, and white text on the green brand colour is too light for small text.
- Some spacing and icons may not mirror correctly in right-to-left languages.
- Uploaded documents and PDF files from third parties may not be accessible.
- Machine-translated pages may contain wording that screen readers pronounce badly. The English text prevails.
- Video content from third parties has no captions or transcripts by default.
Tell us about a barrier
If you cannot use a part of the service, write to To be confirmed. Tell us which page or screen, which device and assistive technology you use, and what went wrong. You can write in English or Italian. We confirm receipt within 5 working days and aim to answer with a fix, a workaround or a date within 30 days. If you need information in another format, we will try to provide it.
Enforcement and complaints
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale (AgID), the Italian authority for digital accessibility, or to the market surveillance authority that is competent under Italian law for services covered by the European Accessibility Act.
