Terms of Service
In short
You can open a free account and read the news for free. Premium, single guides and the 24-hour assistant pass are paid, and the prices are shown before you buy. Guides and Movito give general information, not legal advice. Professionals are independent, and sponsored results are always labelled. The assistant never acts for you without your confirmation. You can delete your account at any time. The full text follows.
The agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and Lodato Solutions LLC, a company organised in Delaware, United States ("we", "us"), which operates MovItaly (the "Service") through the app and the website at movitaly.ai. Our address is To be confirmed. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.
The service and who may use it
MovItaly helps people who move to, study in, work in or visit Italy to find information, plan their steps and, where offered, book independent professionals. You must be at least 14 years old to have an account. People aged 14 to 17 may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, given through the guardian flow described in the parental consent notice, and some features are restricted for them. People under 14 may not use the Service, and we block accounts where we learn that the user is under 14.
Free and premium access
Opening an account is free, and the News section is free. Other features need a premium subscription. When a premium feature is requested without a subscription, the Service tells you that a subscription is required. Prices, the introductory offer, renewal, cancellation and payment channels are set out only in the subscription terms, and the refund policy explains refunds and your right of withdrawal. Those documents form part of this agreement for paid use. Besides the subscription we sell single guides and a 24-hour assistant day pass. A single guide opens one guide for you for as long as the guide is offered. The day pass opens the assistant for 24 hours from the moment you first use it. Neither is a subscription, neither renews, and the price is shown on the purchase screen before you pay.
Points and referral rewards
You can earn points by completing steps in your journey and when a friend you invited qualifies. Points are earned only: they cannot be bought, have no cash value and cannot be transferred. You can spend them in the rewards store on the items it lists, such as a guide, a day pass or a premium week. Points expire 12 months after you earn them, and we remind you before that happens. We may reverse points where we find abuse. Badges and levels are recognition only. People aged 14 to 17 can earn and spend points but cannot invite friends. The full rules are in the points terms, which form part of this agreement.
Goals, checklists and reminders
Goals and checklists help you plan steps such as a visa, a residence permit or an embassy appointment. They are general planning aids built from public rules, and they do not file anything for you. You choose which reminders you want and how you receive them, by push notification, email or in the app, and you can change or switch them off in the settings. If you connect a calendar, reminders and dates can be copied to it. You can disconnect the calendar at any time, and we then stop sending entries to it. A reminder is a help, not a promise: official deadlines stay your responsibility, so please check them with the official source.
Movito and the assistant's actions
Movito is an AI companion. It offers general information and emotional support. It gives no legal or medical advice and no diagnosis, as the AI notice explains. When you ask it to do something in the Service, such as search or book a professional, create a goal or set a reminder, it first shows you what it is about to do and waits for your confirmation. Nothing is booked, paid for, changed or deleted until you confirm. You can say no, and you can change what it proposes. Movito never makes a payment on its own. If you give consent, Movito can remember things between chats, and you can see and delete that memory at any time.
News
The News section shows short summaries of articles on immigration and life in Italy, with a link to the original source. Summaries may be produced with the help of AI and are reviewed by our editorial team before they are published. Copyright in the articles belongs to their publishers, as the copyright notice explains. News is general information, not advice.
Your account and security
You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at To be confirmed without delay if you think someone else has used it. You may keep only one account, and you may not sell, share or transfer it. We will handle your personal data as described in our privacy policy, and you can delete your account at any time from the settings of the app.
Acceptable use
You agree to follow the community rules and the law. You must not harass others, post unlawful or misleading content, impersonate another person, upload files you have no right to upload, scrape or copy the Service in bulk, try to bypass security or payment controls, or use the Service to give legal advice or to sell services without our written agreement. We may remove content and limit features where this is needed to protect users or to meet legal duties. How to report illegal content is described in our notice on reporting content.
Professionals are independent third parties
Professionals listed in the Service, such as lawyers, accountants, translators, agents and other advisers, are independent third parties. They set their own services and prices and are responsible for them. MovItaly provides the platform where you can find and book them, and we are not a party to the contract between you and a professional. Each profile states whether the professional acts as a trader or a business. Search results are ordered by relevance to your request, such as topic, location, language and availability, and by the quality signals shown on the profile. Some professionals pay for a promoted placement. Those results are always labelled "Sponsored". A payment never changes the organic order and never gives a professional the first organic place, and sponsored results are not shown to people under 18. How ranking works is explained in the ranking notice. The professional pays us a fee of EUR 10 for each completed booking, and the rules are in the professional terms. Payment for a booking is handled through our payment partner, and the rules for professionals are in the professional terms. Chat with a professional is possible only inside a booking. The community rules apply to every chat: stay inside the booking, do not arrange payment outside the Service, and use the report and block tools if something is wrong.
Information, not professional advice
Guides, checklists, news, tools and answers from the assistant are general information about life and administration in Italy. They are not legal, tax, immigration, medical or financial advice, and they may be out of date or incomplete because rules and official practice change. Check important points with the official source or a qualified professional before you act. More detail is in the content disclaimer. Movito, our AI companion, can make mistakes and offers emotional support and general information, not legal or medical advice, as explained in the AI notice. You are told when you are talking to an AI system.
Intellectual property and licensed content
The Service, its design, software, text and brand belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the Service and its content for your own needs. Some content is based on open data and public sources with their own licences: To be confirmed. Those licences continue to apply to that material. You may not copy, scrape or resell our content except as the law allows. How we license our content, how news extracts and sources are credited and how to report an infringement is explained in the copyright notice.
Your content
You keep the rights to the content you post, such as forum messages, reviews and profile text. To run the Service you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, translate and reproduce that content, only for operating, protecting and improving the Service, and only while it is on the Service plus a short period for backups and legal duties. You confirm that you have the right to post it. We do not use your uploaded personal documents for this licence, and their handling is described in the privacy policy.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, error free or suited to your personal case. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, or for the acts, advice or services of professionals and other users. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights that mandatory consumer law of your country gives you, including legal guarantees for digital content and services.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, with a clear reason, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law, or if this is needed to protect others. Where reasonable we warn you first and give you a way to respond. If we close a paid account without fault on your side, we will refund the unused part of the current paid period as the subscription terms describe. Terms that by nature continue, such as those on intellectual property and liability, stay in force after closure.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the Service or the law changes. For material changes we give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before they apply, and we show the new version number and date. If you do not agree with a change you can close your account before it applies. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms. Smaller corrections, such as typing errors, may take effect immediately.
Governing law and courts
If you use the Service as a business or for professional purposes, Delaware law governs these terms and the courts of Delaware have jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, Delaware law applies only so far as it does not take away the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence; we may sue you only there. There is no arbitration clause in these terms, and you do not waive any right to join a class or collective action where the law of your country gives you that right.
Complaints and out-of-court dispute resolution
Please write to To be confirmed first, and we aim to answer within 14 days. If we cannot settle the matter, consumers may use an out-of-court dispute resolution body in their country, such as a consumer ADR body in Italy, and may contact their national consumer authority. We are not obliged to take part in such procedures, but we will consider each request in good faith. The European Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025, so we do not link to it.
