Short answer
What a real Italian employment contract must show, so you can spot undeclared or abusive offers.
Information, not legal advice. MovItaly is not a law firm. Check with the questura or consulate before you act.
Red flags
- "No contract for the first months."
- Cash only, or a pay figure with no payslip.
- A contract that says part-time while you work full days.
- You are asked to open a partita IVA for a normal employee job (false self-employment). VERIFY.
- You are asked to sign a blank resignation letter.
Ask a union or patronato to read it for free before you sign.
