Editorial policy

How MovItaly chooses sources, reviews and corrects its guides, who reviews them, and what we will never publish.

How we check

The rules every page follows

  1. What we are

We publish information, not legal advice. MovItaly is not a law firm. Each page tells you what it does not cover and when to see a lawyer.

  2. How pages are reviewed

A page is published only after it is approved in our admin content studio. Pages name the reviewer: the MovItaly editorial team, or a named professional who has agreed to be named. Reviewers are paid per page, never per booking, and get no referral or ranking benefit on pages they reviewed; where a reviewer is also on our professionals marketplace we say so on the page.

  3. Sources

Facts such as fees and deadlines come from primary sources only: police, interior ministry, foreign ministry and consulates, official gazettes, tax and social security agencies, the university ministry and universities. Blogs, forums and law-firm articles are not a source for a fact.

  4. Freshness

Every page shows when it was last verified. Pages with deadlines, and all protection pages, are re-checked every 60 days; news every 90; other pages every 180. A page past its window is marked, and deadline pages stop being listed in search engines until re-checked.

  1. What "verified professional" means

Bar or register entry, VAT number, identity check, professional insurance and sanctions screening all passed and in date. The badge drops when a check expires.

  2. What we will not publish

Help to get around the rules, such as fake contracts, bought work permits, sham marriages or document fraud. Fraud pages explain how to avoid fraud, never how to commit it. No anti-immigrant or hate content.

  3. News

Every news item is checked by a human editor for an official or named source, no hate content, no how-to for evading the rules and no case-specific advice.

  4. Translations

Machine-translated pages are flagged and are not listed in search engines until a native reviewer has checked them and every number and date matches the English source.
